Abel Nippers - I will say my first impression of these Abel Nippers was, "Fifty bucks for a pair of fly fishing nippers? Crazy!" After using the Abel nippers I don't think they are just another overpriced accessory. All the technical stuff below means they are built (Made in the USA) to last and will precisely cut through any line or leader; freshwater, saltwater, salmon, steelhead, musky, bass, trout, tarpon. Designed to trim tag ends extremely close. Have you ever see sawed your way through 0x tippet with your worn out nippers? That won't happen with these nippers. The design keeps the jaws perfectly aligned so the cutting surfaces line up every time for the life of the nippers. The Abel Nippers come with a two year warranty which includes Abel replacing the blades if they wear out.

Murrays Fly Shop
Murray's Dry-A-Fly Patch with Retractor - Murray's Fly Shop - We use an environmentally friendly hydrophilic treatment on our Murray's Dry-A-Fly Patch to increase it's water absorbing properties. Attach the Murray's Dry-A-Fly Patch with pin on retractor to your vest or chest pack so you can quickly blot the water from a soggy dry fly.
I love dry fly fishing! I love seeing the strike! These are much easier if you can SEE your dry fly floating on the surface of the water. Applying dry fly floatant to a soaked dry fly is counterproductive. The best technique is to dry your drowning dry fly prior to applying your favorite floatant. Once your fly is dry, you can apply a dry fly cream or the Murray's Dry Fly Floatant so your fly will float and you can once again see your fly floating on the surface.
